The Minds Behind Mana Base
Mana Base Gaming House is the passion project of owners Austin Glassford and Isabella Tokar. Both US Navy veterans of 10 years, they bonded over a shared love of roller coasters and became fast friends in 2023. And in 2026 they were able to finally realize this project into Mana Base Gaming House, a local space located in Ballston Spa, New York.
Austin’s Talking Points
Isabella grew up in northern Washington State as the second oldest of eight. When she was thirteen, her Mom, Christy, opened up a game store in her home town of Lynden. Bella helped out there after school, falling even more in love with board games and RPGs as she participated in tournaments and her first DnD campaigns.
She joined the military when she was eighteen, and served for just under ten years as a nuclear electrician on the USS Nimitz and as an instructor at NPTU Ballston Spa. Through this, she didn’t let go of her love for gaming and has forged many lifelong friendships through this love. Her passions now include writing, sewing, DnD and mobile gaming, as well as her cat Ashira.
